Consumables

As part of the electronic manufacturing process a number of items (they are not components) are routinely used either as part of the process or to aid the process itself. These items are known as process consumables.

The advent of both the WEEE and RoHS directives has had a signficant impact on the types and costs of consumables available, as has the constant drive by manufacturing companies towards environmentally friendly processes and industry recognised standards such as ISO 14001
